<p>The present invention relates to a device and a method for providing a route in a navigation device and, more specifically, to a device and a method for providing not a generally searched route but a variable route including a stop to a user. The structure of the device for providing a route according to the present invention comprises: an input part by which the user inputs a destination; a data storage part in which a GPS DB is stored; a specific spot checking part for checking whether information on the destination inputted by the user is included in a prestored specific spot DB; a stop searching part for extracting information on stops related to a specific spot if the destination information is included in the specific spot DB; a list generating part for generating a stop list based on the specific spot information and the stop information; and a route generating part for generating a route by receiving an actual stop among the spots on the stop list from the user. The present invention can allow the user to select the optimal route as a matter of own convenience by providing information on various routes, costs for each section, time, and distance to the destination including the stop.</p> |
