The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a method for producing same, and a lithium secondary battery including same. The method for producing a positive electrode active material herein includes a producing step for producing a complex oxide having a layer structure with excess lithium manganese that is represented by the chemical formula of Li[Lix-z(NiaCobMnc)1-x]O2 ? (herein, a+b+c=1, 0.05£x£0.33, 0<z£0.05) or by the chemical formula of Li[Lix-z(NiaCobMnc)1-x]O2-yFy (herein, a+b+c=1, 0.05£x£0.33, 0£y£0.08, 0<z£0.05); a mixing step for forming a mixture by adding ? metallic salt, ammonium fluoride, and the complex oxide to an organic solvent with a moisture content of equal to or less than 10%; and a heat treatment step for coating a surface of the complex oxide with metalloid fluoride by performing a heat treatment on the mixture under an inert atmosphere. |
