The present invention relates to a laundry dryer (100) for home use, capable of minimizing the increase in energy charge even while using household electric power to which a progressive tax is applied, and achieving uniform and fast drying of laundry. A door (4) is provided at the main body housing (2), and a cylindrical drum (8) which can accommodate the laundry entering through the door (4) is installed at a chamber (6) of the main body housing (2) to be able to rotate. Multiple holes (10) are formed on a surface of a cylindrical body of the cylindrical drum (8). A vacuum type carbon fiber heater assembly (14) for allowing far infrared radiation and convection heating and an air inlet (12) are installed at one side of the main body housing (2) facing the surface of the cylindrical body, and an exhaust outlet (16) and an exhaust fan (18) for ventilation and moisture discharge are installed at the other side of the main body housing (2). A controller (50) controls the total power consumption of vacuum type carbon fiber heater lamps (14a) provided in the carbon fiber heater assembly (14) to be 500-1,500 W, controls the temperature of heat generated from the carbon fiber heater lamps (14a) to be within the range of 30-90°C by setting the drying temperature through an input and output unit (52) and using the sensed temperature in the chamber, and controls the driving of the exhaust fan (16). |
