The present invention relates to a synchronization group management device and, more specifically, to a method to manage a plurality of groups in a synchronization group management device of a node included in a single group among a plurality of groups in a wireless communication network. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the synchronization group management method includes the steps of: searching for the group the node is included in and groups adjacent to the previous group; determining the role of the group including the node which can be a master group or a slave group; and merging the group with the adjacent groups when the group including the node is a slave group.
