The present invention relates to an electronic tag system and a method for estimating remaining battery capacity of an electronic tag system. A server of the electronic tag system comprises a counting unit counting the number of operations of an electronic tag with respect to each of a plurality of operation profiles ; a memory unit storing average power consumption of each of the operation profiles; and a calculating unit calculating remaining battery capacity by using the number of operations of each of the operation profiles counted by the counting unit and the average power consumption of the operation profiles stored in the memory, whereby remaining battery capacity can be more precisely measured without additional hardware.
