The present invention relates to an apparatus for generating ionized water and a method for setting applied current thereof. The apparatus for generating ionized water according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an electrolysis bath for producing ionized water by applying applied current to fluid when the fluid is flowed in; a power supply unit for producing the applied current according to an input control signal, and supplying the applied current to the electrolysis bath; a communications unit for receiving current data from an external input device; and a control unit for setting the intensity of the applied current by using the current data, and producing the control signal.
