METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOCATION DETERMINATION TO IMPROVE THE ACCURACY OF THE LOCATION

Disclosed are a method and a device for determining a location to improve location accuracy. The method and the device to improve location accuracy according to the present invention are capable of: collecting signal data corresponding to a user′s location from an access point (AP) around the user; selecting factors and circumstances that may affect the signal data to collect the signal data; and comparing with ideal signal data to construe a correction coefficient. A user′s initial location is calculated by applying the correction coefficient to the signal data corresponding to the user′s location and by using a method for determining a first location. A user′s final location is calculated by selecting a proper algorithm from a method for determining a second location depending on the number of RPs of a section where the user is located so that the selected algorithm can be applied to the calculated user′s initial location. The calculated user′s coordinate and user′s location are displayed in a location map.
