The present invention relates to a user-oriented method for playing and editing musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) sound which includes the steps of: receiving an input of an MGI file created by combining MIDI score data and sound data, which is the information on notes of each musical instrument registered in the MIDI score data; extracting information on instruments included in the MGI file by parsing the MGI file; controlling an output to output an interface about playing environment of the MGI file to a screen display means of a user terminal and include the extracted information on instruments in the interface; and playing the MGI file by connecting the MIDI score data and the sound data together.
