The present invention relates to a system to detect the location of an object including people and things within a predetermined area and comprises a camera installed to film the predetermined area; an RFID tag attached to the object; an AP apparatus to recognize the RFID tag and to detect and transmit the location information of the RFID tag; and a main terminal unit to receive the detected RFID tag location information from the AP apparatus and to display a location, corresponding to the location information of the RFID tag, from the received RFID tag signal on a display part. The main terminal unit is connected to the camera, controls the operation of the camera to enable the camera to film a location corresponding to the received location information of the RFID tag, receives the image information obtained by the camera, and displays the image information on the display part. The present invention provides a location detection system using a camera and RFID to accurately detect the location of an object and to prevent error in detecting the location of the object by attaching the RFID tag to the object arranged on a random location within a predetermined area and enabling the location of the object to be recognized by confirming a camera image of the location corresponding to the location information detected by an RFID reader as well as the location information of the RFID tag detected by the RFID reader.
