FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of microfibrillar cellulose. Proposed process comprises preliminary processing of fibre accompanied with processing of said fibre with enzyme. Then, fibre is mixed with solution bearing alkaline metal hydroxide.
