PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase aircraft efficiency and reduce the amount of fossil fuels consumed.SOLUTION: A wing 120 comprises: an angled portion 106 attached on an outer side of the aircraft relative to an aileron 116; and a controllable airflow modification device 110 attached on an inner side of the aircraft relative to the angled portion. The controllable airflow modification device is controlled to reduce a wing load, regardless of the aileron, by a control system which receives in-flight load factor data from a sensor 114.
