PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device that makes it difficult for a second catalyst carrier to be deteriorated so as to retain over a long term the effect of reducing the amount of emission of harmful matter to be emitted into the atmosphere immediately after staring an engine.SOLUTION: A first passage switching plate 21 and a second passage switching plate 22, each having a communication port that permits communication of exhaust gas, are configured to switch a first exhaust gas passage and a second exhaust gas passage. The first exhaust gas passage permits communication of the exhaust gas in a second catalyst carrier 13 and regulates the communication of the exhaust gas on an outer peripheral side of the second catalyst carrier 13. The second exhaust gas passage regulates the communication of the exhaust gas into the second catalyst carrier 13 and permits the communication of the exhaust gas to the outer peripheral side of the second catalyst carrier 13. |
