A switching voltage regulator (100) may include a current limit detector (106) configured to detect an over-current condition. The switching voltage regulator (100) may further include a pulse- width modulation (PWM) module (104) coupled to the current limit detector (106) and configured to convey a PWM signal (114) based on a programmed switching frequency and an output voltage (Vout) and in response to the over-current condition.
