PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger determination device capable of ensuring execution of class transition even if a load fluctuates to a range across a threshold and exerting an airbag control for protecting a passenger to a minimum.SOLUTION: In a passenger determination device comprising: a load sensor 3 detecting a load W of a passenger seated in a vehicle seat; and determination means 4 for determining whether the passenger is present and determining the passenger's physique by classifying the load W as a signal into one of a plurality of stored classes C on the basis of predetermine load thresholds Wth1 to Wth4, the determination means 4 transitions a current class to a class adjacent to the current class if the load equal to or larger than the load threshold between the current class and the class adjacent in a larger load side with respect to the current class is input continuously for threshold time. |
