PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a search time in radiation direction and reception direction search in communication using a directional antenna.SOLUTION: A radio communication system is disclosed in which a transmission device including a transmission directional antenna and a reception device including a reception directional antenna search for a combination of a radiation direction and a reception direction of a signal to get communication paths by each of a direct wave and a reflection wave, and communicate by use of the combination of the radiation direction and the reception direction. A transmission side node determines whether the reflection wave is a one-time reflection wave having gone through reflection once on the basis of information on a reception direction of the reflection wave relative to a reception direction of the direct wave and path length of the direct wave and the reflection wave reported by the reception device. If the reflection wave is a one-time reflection wave, the transmission side node and a reception side node omit search of the transmission direction and reception direction regarding the reflection wave.
