摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle control device capable of improving fuel consumption performance and drivability.SOLUTION: A control device of a hybrid vehicle that can travel in an EV travel mode for driving an electric motor 101 only by electric power of a capacitor 113, and a series travel mode for driving the electric motor 101 by electric power generated by a generator 107 using internal combustion engine power comprises: a requested-drive-force deriving unit that derives a requested drive force of the electric motor 101 on the basis of a vehicle speed and an accelerator pedal opening; a requested-electric-power deriving unit that derives requested electric power of the electric motor 101 on the basis of the requested drive force and a rotational speed of the electric motor 101; a possible output maximum value setting unit that sets a possible output maximum value of the capacitor 113 on the basis of a state of the capacitor 113; and an internal combustion engine start determination unit determining whether to start an internal combustion engine 109 on the basis of the requested electric power of the electric motor 101. The internal combustion engine start determination unit controls the internal combustion engine 109 to be started so that the hybrid vehicle can travel in the series travel mode when the requested electric power of the electric motor 101 exceeds the possible output maximum value.
