PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device capable of biometric authentication while reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device 10 includes: an acquisition section 15 that acquires an information pattern 3 formed on a display panel 21 or a sheet of paper and a piece of biological information of a user; a collation section 140 that collates the user's biological information acquired by the acquisition section 15 and a piece of pre-registered biological information; an authentication section 150 that authenticates the user based on the collation result by the collation section 140; and a control section 16 that controls whether the reading processing of the information pattern 3 including acquisition processing of the information pattern 3 by the acquisition section 15 should be started based on the authentication result by the authentication section 150. |
