A solar photovoltaic power generation system which is characterized by being provided with: a solar photovoltaic power generation device (1); an electric power conversion control device (3) which converts a direct-current power from the solar photovoltaic power generation device (1) into an alternating-current power and has an output control function for achieving the maximum power; a hydrogen production means (2) which produces hydrogen using the direct-current power from the solar photovoltaic power generation device (1); a switch means (4) for switching the electrical connection among the solar photovoltaic power generation device (1), the electric power conversion control device (3) and the hydrogen production means (2); and a control unit (6) which transmits a control signal to the switch means (4). This solar photovoltaic power generation system is also characterized in that: the rated output power of the solar photovoltaic power generation device (1) is higher than the rated output power of the electric power conversion control device (3); and the control unit (6) controls the switch means (4) in accordance with the result of comparison between the predicted amount of power generation (W0), which is able to be generated by the solar photovoltaic power generation device (1), and the output power (W1) of the solar photovoltaic power generation device (1) or the output power (W2) of the electric power conversion control device (3) and the conversion efficiency characteristics of the electric power conversion control device (3). |
