PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video encoding/decoding method and a video encoding/decoding device, to which intra-prediction method having various directionality is applied based on a hierarchical encoding unit of various sizes.SOLUTION: A video decoding method includes: a step for extracting intra-prediction mode information applied to a current block decoded from a bit stream; and a step for performing intra-prediction on the current block by an extracted intra-prediction mode. The step for performing the intra-prediction includes: a step for acquiring the number of peripheral pixels to be acquired among pixels existing on the left side and the upper side of the current block by a position of the current pixel of the current block and a specified direction designated by the intra-prediction mode; a step for acquiring a prediction value of the current pixel in response to one peripheral pixel when the number of the peripheral pixels is determined to be "1"; and a step for acquiring the prediction value of the current pixel in response to a weighted average value of the two peripheral pixels when the number of the peripheral pixels is determined to be 2.
