Provided are: a heat-ray-shielding film which exhibits excellent heat shielding properties, colour tone, and weather resistance; a heat-ray-shielding transparent substrate and a heat-ray-shielding resin sheet material which use the heat-ray-shielding film; a vehicle in which the heat-ray-shielding transparent substrate and the heat-ray-shielding resin sheet material are provided as a window material; and a building in which the heat-ray-shielding transparent substrate and the heat-ray-shielding resin sheet material are used as a window material. Provided is a heat-ray-shielding film which includes: composite tungsten oxide fine particles which are represented by the general formula MyWOz, and which have a hexagonal crystal structure; a selective-wavelength absorbing material; and a thermoplastic resin. The heat-ray-shielding film is characterized in that the selective-wavelength absorbing material is provided with a transmission profile in which the transmittance of light having a wavelength of 550 nm is at least 90%, and the transmittance of light having a wavelength of 420 nm, when the transmittance of light having a wavelength of 460 nm is at least 90%, is not more than 40%. Also provided are: a heat-ray-shielding resin sheet material; and a heat-ray-shielding transparent substrate in which the heat-ray-shielding film and the heat-ray-shielding resin sheet material are used.
