PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader which can improve reading precision of an image by a first reading section and a second reading section and to provide a manufacturing method of the image reader.SOLUTION: A first protrusion 201 of a first reading section 93 and a second protrusion 211 of a second reading section 94 are inserted into a first engaging section 165 and a second engaging section 168 of a first frame 151. Thus, individual left ends of the first reading section 93 and the second reading section 94 can be engaged with the first frame 151. Thus, relative positions of the left ends of the first reading section 93 and the second reading section 94 can be made constant. A third protrusion 202 of the first reading section 93 and a fourth protrusion 212 of the second reading section 94 are inserted into a third engaging section 185 and a fourth engaging section 188 of a second frame 152. Thus, individual right ends of the first reading section 93 and the second reading section 94 can be engaged with the second frame 152. |
