ON-VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND ON-VEHICLE RELAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle communication system and an on-vehicle relay device capable of: appropriately performing an inter-network relay among a plurality of in-vehicle networks when a new on-vehicle device is connected to an in-vehicle network; and preventing connection of an unauthorized on-vehicle device from causing an adverse effect on a whole system.SOLUTION: A gateway 10 which performs an information relay among a plurality of in-vehicle networks NW1 to NW3 stores a routing map necessary for deciding a relay destination of information. When a new ECU 58 is connected to the in-vehicle networks NW1 to NW3, a security controller 30 acquires a new routing map by communicating with a server device 9 and updates the routing map of the gateway 10 after determining whether or not the acquired routing map is authorized. Also, the gateway 10 performs notification when determination result of the relay destination on the basis of the stored routing map shows that the relay destination of the received information does not exist.
