PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chromatography matrices including ligands based on one or more domains of immunoglobulin-binding proteins such as Staphylococcus aureus Protein A (SpA), and to provide methods of using the same.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an affinity chromatography ligand comprising C domains, B domains, and/or Z domains, which comprises deletion of at least 3 consecutive amino acids from the N-terminus of Staphylococcus Protein A. And an affinity chromatography matrix comprises the affinity chromatography ligand bound to a solid support.
