PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a living body implant which removes hindrances for osseointegration by utilizing light energy and improves cell adhesion and cell growth and its application method.SOLUTION: In a titanium-based living body implant, ozone is generated by irradiation of vacuum UR rays and UV rays to remove organic contaminants, a hindrance for osseointegration, and organic contaminants, especially carbon, are decomposed and oxidized for removal so as to obtain a living body implant with clean surfaces. Since the irradiation of the vacuum UV rays and UV rays is carried out before a surgical operation, clean surfaces of the living body implant with reduced organic contaminants, especially a reduced carbon concentration can be secured, independent of the living body implant being a new product immediately after production or an old one after prolonged storage. The living body implant is embedded in the living body in an activated state with super hydrophilicity, leading to further promotion of osseointegration. The carbon concentration of the living body implant is 18 atm% or lower. |
