PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimal display processing device and method in which an optimal magnification for displaying space-time data having a spread in a time direction or a space direction is automatically estimated and the space-time data are promptly displayed at the estimated optimal magnification.SOLUTION: An optimal display processing device 10 is configured to estimate a magnification optimal for display by calculating such a specific magnification that data neighboring in a time axis or space axis direction of space-time data having a spread in a time direction or a space direction start being overlapped as one item of data in accordance with a magnification in the time axis or space axis direction. The magnification in the time axis or space axis direction is received and on the basis of the received magnification, data are displayed. In the case where a specific instruction for display at an optimal magnification is received, data are displayed on the basis of the estimated optimal magnification.
