PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries which is activated by multi-electron reaction.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries is expressed by the chemical formula, LiFeMPO, where M is one kind of transition metal of Ni, Co, Ti, V and Cr. It is preferable that in the chemical formula, M is Ni or Co. It is more preferable that M in the chemical formula is Ni or Co, and x is in a range given by: 0.3≤x≤1. |
