Title: Lathe Reversal Time Delayer Abstract The present invention relates to a lathe reversal time delayer, comprising a resistance-capacitance time delay module, a relay, a NE555 time-base circuit IC provided between the resistance-capacitance time delay module and the relay, and a DC power supply. The relay is connected in series onto a lathe reversal switching circuit. The resistance-capacitance time delay module consists of an electrolytic capacitor and a resistor, which are connected in series to each other. When a reversal button is pressed down by an operator, the resistance-capacitance time delay module and the NE555 time-base circuit IC delay for a while to conduct the relay. Therefore, a lathe spindle defers for definite time and begins rotating reversely, when the reversal button is pressed down. The speed of the forward rotation of the lathe spindle is reduced to a very low degree. When the lathe starts rotating reversely, the spindle bears a small torque and the starting current for reverse rotation is small too. Therefore, mechanical parts and electrical systems of the lathe is protected and the service life of the lathe is extended. The lathe reversal time delayer provided by the present invention can be used when additionally arranged on the lathe reversal switching circuit of a common lathe. The lathe reversal time delayer features simple structure and low cost, and is thus suitable for the reformation of the existing common lathes. |
