<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader which can sufficiently transport a sheet onto a second reading face and can suppress a jam.SOLUTION: A second reading face 127 of a second reading section 94 inclines so that a front side part of a sheet S is alienated much more than a rear side part to a first reading face 106. Thus, a tip of the sheet S transported on a transportation path 141 is suppressed to be in contact with an extension part 128, and the tip of the sheet S can be made to abut on the second reading face 127. Thus, the tip of the sheet S can be suppressed to be inserted between the second reading face 127 and the extension part 128. Occurrence of a reverse bump where the second reading face 127 is positioned to be lower than a lower face of a sheet presser 92 can also be suppressed between the second reading section 94 and the sheet presser 92. Consequently, the tip of the sheet S can be suppressed to be caught by the second reading section 94. Thus, the sheet S is sufficiently transported onto the second reading face 127, and a jam can be suppressed.</p> |
