<p>A method of uplink scheduling in a radio access network (RAN), wherein buffer status reports of radio bearers of a mobile terminal are communicated to a base station, wherein said base station performs scheduling of said mobile terminal in the uplink based on information contained in the buffer status reports received from said mobile terminal, is characterized in the steps of, at said mobile terminal, classifying traffic contained in said mobile terminal's uplink default bearer buffer as high priority traffic and including information on said high priority traffic in said mobile terminal's buffer status reports communicated to said base station, and, at said base station, adapting the scheduling of said mobile terminal's uplink default bearer by allocating uplink resources to said mobile terminal based on the information on said high priority traffic contained in the buffer status reports received from said mobile terminal. Furthermore, a corresponding apparatus for use in uplink scheduling in RAN is disclosed.</p> |
