PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening device to which a glass holding metal fitting is easily attached and which has high crime prevention, and a method for removing the glass holding metal fitting to be used for the same.SOLUTION: An opening device 1 comprises: a frame body 30 framed by an upper frame, a lower frame, right and left vertical frames; glass 51, 52 or a sash 200 accommodated in the frame body; and a glass holding part 60 extended in a vertical direction of a peripheral edge of the glass between the vertical frames or stiles 23, 24 of the sash and a side edge of the glass, in which the glass holding part comprises: a first glass holding metal fitting which is fixed to the vertical frame or the stile and in which first engaging parts 613, S2 are formed; and a second glass holding metal fitting which is provided on the outdoor side and in which second engaging parts 64, 67 to engage with the first engaging parts are formed, and at least one of the first glass holding metal fitting and the second glass holding metal fitting is provided with lock mechanisms 65, 643 for preventing disengagement between the first engaging parts and the second engaging parts. |
