PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber having a glass-buffer for improving some of overheat problems by removing light from a clad, in high-output application adopting a fiber-laser.SOLUTION: A method for obtaining a glass-buffer 106 having a thickness equal to or thicker than the thickness of a clad 104 includes a step for inserting an optical fiber 100 into a glass-tube, a step for heating the glass-tube up to a melting point, and a step for forming the glass-buffer 106 by crushing the glass-tube. |
