PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fault resistance for a communicability monitoring function of Ethernet(R) OAM in a chassis-type network repeater.SOLUTION: Both first and second management cards MCm and MCb for main and backup comprise communicability monitoring parts for generating monitor frames CCMm and CCMb for confirming communicability between devices and transmitting the monitor frames to a predetermined line card (e.g., LC1). Each of a plurality of line cards LC1-LCn includes a transmission source selection part SEL for selecting one of both the monitor frames in the case where the monitor frames are received from both the MCm and the MCb, and for transmitting the selected monitor frame from a predetermined port P. |
