PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine which inhibits the deterioration of a function for keeping an unburnt gas in a combustion chamber.SOLUTION: In an engine 12, a combustion chamber 18 is provided in a cylinder 19 and an exhaust port 32 connected with the combustion chamber 18 is opened and closed by a piston 22 which reciprocates in the cylinder 19. The engine 12 includes: a first exhaust passage 31 which is provided at the cylinder 19 and is connected with the exhaust port 32; an opening part 31a which is formed at a downstream end of the first exhaust passage 31 in an exhaust direction of the combustion gas exhausted from the exhaust port 32; and a second exhaust passage 36 which is connected with the opening part 31a through a connection passage 41. The center E of the connection passage 41 when viewed in an operation direction of the piston 22 and the center C of the opening part 31a when viewed in the operation direction of the piston 22 are disposed at different positions in the operation direction of the piston 22. |
