PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve remote control with high convenience without degrading safety.SOLUTION: In remote-controlling an electrical apparatus 4 within a residence 8 from a terminal device 3 through an external network 6 or a home network 7, the terminal device 3 discriminates which of the inside or outside of the residence 8 it is positioned at. When the terminal device 3 discriminates that it is inside the residence 8, the electrical apparatus 4 performs processing by instructed remote control. When the terminal device 3 discriminates that it is outside the residence 8, operation capable of remote control for the electrical apparatus 4 is limited.
