This battery charging control device is equipped with a load state detection unit that detects the load state of the auxiliary devices, and a charging control unit that controls the charging of the battery on the basis of the load state of the auxiliary devices. When a transition in the magnitude of the load state of the auxiliary devices from lower than a predetermined threshold value to higher than the predetermined threshold value is detected, the charging control device controls the generated voltage from the generator on the basis of the magnitude of the load of the auxiliary devices prior to the transition, until a predetermined amount of time has elapsed from when the transition was detected, and after the predetermined amount of time has elapsed the charging control device controls the generated voltage from the generator on the basis of the magnitude of the load of the auxiliary devices as detected by the load state detection unit.
