PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit which can generate a still image without deteriorating throughput of image processing and can restore display of a live view image after the still image is photographed at earlier timing without increasing a circuit scale and power consumption.SOLUTION: An image processing unit includes: an image processing section which divides images of inputted frames into a plurality of blocks, performs previously determined image processing on each divided block and generates images corresponding to the individual frames; and a margin control section which separately stores margin data used in each image processing for generating the images corresponding to the frames by the image processing section for the respective pieces of margin data corresponding to the individual image processing when image data included in a margin area where areas of the blocks are overlapped in the images of the individual frames, and switches the margin data used when the image processing section performs the individual image processing. |
