PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing polymer structure which forms relatively small dust, does not generate gel block phenomenon even in high concentration, and can be used for a hygiene product.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a water-absorbing polymer structure includes: i) a process of preparing monomer aqueous solution which contains a monomer containing polymerizable monoethylenically unsaturated acidic group or salt of the monomer; ii) a process of obtaining polymer gel by free radical polymerization of the monomer aqueous solution; iii) a process of pulverizing the polymer gel as necessary; and iv) a process of drying the pulverized-as-necessary polymer gel to obtain a water-absorbing polymer structure, and thermoplastic polymer is I) added to the monomer aqueous solution before the process ii) or in the execution of the process ii), II) added to the polymer gel after the process ii) and before the process iv) or in the execution of the process iv) (preferably, before the process iv)), or III) added to the water-absorbing polymer structure after the process iv). |
