PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship for polar region having a derrick which is capable of stably maintaining particularly a sealed internal environment of a derrick.SOLUTION: A ship for polar region includes: a derrick 110 which forms a sealed space isolated from external air; a moon pool 120 which is connected to a lower part of the derrick 110 and isolated from external air; and air inlet/outlet means for allowing an internal space of the derrick 110 or the moon pool 120 and outside to communicate with each other and maintaining and controlling air condition in the internal space within a fixed range. The air inlet/outlet means includes: a supply unit 340 which supplies external air to the derrick 110 or the moon pool 120; and an exhaust unit 330 which exhausts air at an upper part of the derrick 110. The moon pool 120 includes a pressure sensor 354 inside therein, and a control unit 355 which controls an operation of the supply unit 340 and the exhaust unit 330 corresponding to internal pressure information from the pressure sensor 354.
