The present invention has the objective of providing a hologram recording and playback device and an angular multiplexing recording and playback method which are capable of detecting an angular error signal for which, in a two-beam angle multiplexing method, high-speed playback can be achieved and a superior playback signal can be acquired. The present invention is provided with: a light source which emits a light beam; a branch element which branches the light beam, emitted from the light source, into a signal light and a reference light; angle-variable elements for modifying the incident angle of the reference light that is incident to the optical information recording medium; a spatial light modulator for adding information to the signal light; an objective lens for radiating the signal light to the optical information recording medium; an imaging element for detecting diffracted light generated from a recording region within the optical information recording medium when the reference light is radiated upon the optical information recording medium; and a detection system for detecting at least two angular error signals, which are first and second angular error signals, for controlling the angle-variable elements. Switching is performed between the first and second angular error signals, and at least one angle-variable element is controlled, and thereby, it is possible to achieve the objective. |
