摘要 This current-limiting/flow control device (10) is provided with the following: a superconducting current-limiting element (8) that contains a superconductor; a series capacitor (1); and a parallel circuit. The series capacitor (1) is connected in series with the superconducting current-limiting element (8). The parallel circuit contains an inductor (2) that is connected in parallel with the series circuit containing the superconducting current-emitting element (8) and the series capacitor (1). As such, if a fault occurs, the superconducting current-limiting element (8) limits the current flow autonomously as the overcurrent resulting from the fault causes the superconductor in the superconducting current-limiting element (8) to transition to a normal conduction state. This makes it possible to reliably prevent an excessive load (an excessive voltage) from being applied across the terminals of the series capacitor (1) as a result of the fault. This in turn obviates the need to provide an arrestor to protect the series capacitor (1) as in conventional devices, making it possible to simplify the architecture of this current-limiting/flow control device (10).
