System to enable a communication device to respond to a caller based on an intent of the caller as determined by an intent engine and the caller's privilege level. In an aspect, the caller may be busy and based on the caller's intent and privilege level the caller is provided with information and/or a set of configurable follow- up actions may be taken in the absence of the intended communication recipient.
