PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder capable of further reducing a possibility of sticking of ink on a roller body.SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder includes: a head enclosure 44 having a head element where a discharge surface 40 for discharging ink is formed; a platen 3 which supports a form P being conveyed and is arranged opposite the head element 41; a roller body 2 which is provided without overlapping the head element 41 in the head enclosure, and partially projects from a discharge surface 40 toward the platen 3 so as to press the form P being conveyed against the platen 3; and a moving mechanism which moves the platen 3 and roller body 2 relatively to and away from each other. The platen 3 has an opening 31 formed so as to make a liquid discharged from the discharge surface of the head element 41 to pass, and the platen 3 is also provided with a recessed part 30 which covers a part of the roller body 2 while the platen 3 and roller body 2 are close to each other. |
