摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to relatively excellently perform charge without being affected by battery temperature.SOLUTION: A charge controller includes: a motor generator 12 (AC power generator): a high voltage battery 14; an inverter 18 for charging the high voltage battery 14 with DC power obtained by converting AC power output from the motor generator 12; a temperature sensor 15 for detecting temperature of the high voltage battery 14; and a controller 36. The inverter 18 includes: circuits 40 to 44 (first conversion units) for converting the AC power to continuous DC power to output it; and circuits 40 to 46 (second conversion units) for converting the AC power to pulse-like DC power to output it. The controller 36 controls the inverter 18 so that the high voltage battery 14 is charged with the continuous DC power when temperature detected by the temperature sensor 15 is within an optimum temperature range, and is charged with the pulse-like DC power when the detected temperature is out of the optimum range.
