PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain display luminance at a boundary part between displays from becoming non-continuous in a multi-screen display system using a plurality of displays, and perform a multi-image display with high image quality.SOLUTION: An image display device constituting a multi-screen display system constituting a single screen by a plurality of image display devices together with another display device comprises: light emitting means that is capable of controlling light emission luminance; acquisition means that acquires information on light emission luminance of the light emitting means of the image display device to be obtained on the basis of an image to be displayed and information on light emission luminance of light emitting means of the other image display device; and correction means that corrects at least any of the light emission luminance of the light emitting means of the image display device and the light emission luminance of the light emitting means of the other image display device on the basis of information on the light emitting means of the image display device and the other image display device acquired by the acquisition means, and thereby determines the light emission luminance of the light emitting means of the image display device and the other image display device.
