<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chord detection device capable of executing chord detection while being harmonized with acquired performance data and further in accordance with image of a piece of music being played.SOLUTION: Performance data within predetermined chord detection timing are acquired from inputted performance data, chord candidates are extracted according to a preset extraction method and for each of the extracted chord candidates, a role in the corresponding chord of a performance sound is identified. By referring to a point table for each degree name on the basis of the identified role, a musical point of each performance sound is determined and for each of the extracted chord candidates, the determined points of the performance sounds are summed up. By referring to chord tendency information corresponding to a piece of music being played at present, the number of points for each chord candidate is adjusted. A chord candidate with a highest total point is selected from among the chord candidates with the adjusted numbers of points, and detected as a suitable chord.</p> |
