METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLUORINE-CONTAINING ALKENE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing alkene compound with a high selectivity by suppressing generation of a byproduct which is difficult to convert into an objective substance or a byproduct which is difficult to separate using an easy-to-handle catalyst.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a fluorine-containing alkene compound represented by the general formula: CF(CX)CF=CH(Xs each independently represents F or Cl; n represents an integer of 0 to 2), the method comprising: a first reaction step of reacting a specific chlorine-containing compound with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride which is a fluorination agent in a gas phase state under a pressure of 0.3 to 5 MPa in the presence of at least one fluorination catalyst selected from the group consisting of chromium oxide and a fluorinated chromium oxide; and a second reaction step of heating a product in the first reaction step in a gas phase state under a pressure lower than the pressure in the first reaction step (from atmospheric pressure to 0.3 MPa).
