An image synthesis unit (303): generates one-dimensional sequence data by arranging, in one dimension, the optical cutting line positions detected by the position detection unit (302) on the horizontal lines; embeds the one-dimensional sequence data in the original image data; and generates synthesized image data. A communication unit (304) transfers the synthesized image data generated by the image synthesis unit (303) to a processing device (105).
