<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine high-dispersibility alkaline earth metal carbonate powder dispersible as primary particles or analogous particulates within an aqueous medium and favorably usable as raw ingredients for manufacturing fine dielectric ceramic powders such as a barium titanate powder, strontium titanate powder, barium calcium titanate, etc.SOLUTION: The provided fine high-dispersibility alkaline earth metal carbonate powder is a fine powder of an alkaline earth metal carbonate selected from among barium carbonate, strontium carbonate, and calcium carbonate in which the average projection circle area-equivalent diameter of primary particles ascertained via image analysis of an electron microgram is confined to a range of 30-90 nm and the cumulative micropore volume of micropores having diameters of 10-20 nm is 5×10cm/g or above. A fine alkaline earth metal carbonate powder in which a polymer consisting of a polycarboxylic acid or anhydride or salt thereof is adhered to the fine powder surface is also provided.</p> |
