PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing a glass chopped strand that polishes a roughened surface of a rubber roll so as to maintain a constant smooth state even in a situation in which the rubber roll decreases in diameter more owing to contacting of a cutter roll, and continuously cuts a glass strand by the cutter roll.SOLUTION: A manufacturing device 100 for glass chopped strand includes a rubber roll 11, a cutter roll 10 which cuts a glass strand F while rotating in contact with a surface of a rubber roll 11, and polishing means 12 of polishing the surface of the rubber roll 11 while moving reciprocally along a width direction of the rubber roll 11, and moving to and away from the rubber roll 11 as the rubber roll 11 decreases in diameter, and is configured such that the polishing means 12 change in state for the rubber roll 11 so that the rubber roll 11 increases in polishing amount per unit time as the rubber roll 11 decreases in diameter.
