1. A computer-implemented method for ascertaining trends in network activity data, the method comprising:
calculating a plurality of trend indicators for a plurality of values of a metric associated with network activity for a network content provider, wherein the trend indicators comprise:
one or more moving averages of the plurality of values of the metric, andone or more standard deviation values of the plurality of values of the metric; generating a time-series graphical overlay representation comprising a plurality of time values in relation to the plurality of values of the metric associated with the plurality of time values, a plurality of values for the one or more moving averages associated with the plurality of time values, and a plurality of the one or more standard deviation values associated with the plurality of time values, wherein the time-series graphical overlay representation is generated by overlaying the plurality of values of the metric, the plurality of values for the one or more moving averages, and the plurality of values for the one or more standard deviation values; and displaying the time-series graphical overlay representation. |
